R.I.P. William Styron

William Styron (Sophie’s Choice, The Confessions of Nat Turner) has passed on at the age of 81.

“This is terrible,” Kurt Vonnegut, a longtime friend, told the Associated Press. “He was dramatic, he was fun. He was strong and proud and he was awfully good with the language.”
