2006 Booker shortlist announced

The Man Booker judges have announced the six books that made the 2006 shortlist. They are: Kiran Desai’s The Inheritance of Loss, Kate Grenville’s The Secret River, M.J. Hyland’s Carry Me Down, Hisham Matar’s In The Country of Men (a first novel; not published in the U.S.), Edward St Aubyn’s Mother’s Milk, and Sarah Waters’ The Night Watch.
