Major booksellers spurn e-book reader

Neither Barnes & Noble nor Amazon plans to sell Sony’s new e-book reader. Borders has agreed to carry it, though.

The device, which is supposed to be a vast improvement over prior models, runs $299 to $399. Way too steep to reel in your average reader. This reader, anyway.

I’m still holding out hope for LCD paper.
