Canadian Minister stops staff author from speaking

Canadian Environment Minister Rona Ambrose has apparently forbidden a staff scientist, Mark Tushingham, from publicly discussing his new science fiction novel about global warming, Hotter than Hell (scroll down). The book envisions a near future in which the lack of fresh water provokes a war between Canada and the United States.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper, in language that would make Ronald Reagan proud, stated that he knew nothing of the details of the incident, but that:

I not only hope, but expect, that all elements of the bureaucracy will be working with us to achieve our objectives.
