Flanagan, The Handmaid’s Tale, and Judith Miller’s reporting

Maud here, even though it’s Annie’s clock, just to say: you know, the world is confusing sometimes. Like when Gawker manages to be grammatical and informative and to display traits other than bald-faced sociopathy.

To wit, “Caitlin Flanagan: Finally Someone Makes Margaret Atwood’s Fiction Seem Plausible.” (How do I loathe thee, Ms. Flanagan? Let me count the ways: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6….)

And if that Elle profile’s not enough to jump-start a 3 o’clock happy hour, try the news that disgraced and utterly loathsome New York Times “reporter” Judith Miller will join Flanagan at The Atlantic. Maybe they can bring Condi Rice on board to complete the Triad of American X-Chromosome Evil.
