Today’s World AIDS Day. Yesterday Nadine Gordimer presented the Treatment Action Campaign with the first portion of the proceeds from Telling Tales, an AIDS benefit short story collection she put together three years ago.
The forecast in Africa and other developing nations remains grim. Nine of every 10 Africans in need of antiretroviral treatment do not receive it. (BBC link via #1.)
