Zafar Rushdie, novelist

Zafar Rushdie, Salman Rushdie’s son, has written a book about his life during the years of Ayatollah Khomeini’s fatwa against his father. “I’ve had a slightly unique upbringing: bodyguards, bulletproof cars, guns, death threats and camera crews behind bushes,” he says.
