Delayed Nobel conniption

Knut Ahnlund, a member of the academy that awards the Nobel Prize for Literature, has resigned in protest over last year’s award to Austrian writer Elfriede Jelinek. He characterizes her work as “a mass of text shovelled together without artistic structure.” (Thanks, David.)
