An unpleasant kind of nostalgia

This post was written by Friday guest blogger Emma Garman.

Lisa Jewell, the mega-selling British novelist whose books are much too good to be called chick lit (a term she says she loathes), is interviewed in the Telegraph. And the woman who started it all, Helen Fielding, has – quite bizarrely – revived her original Bridget Jones column, from which the novel grew. The worst part is that it first appeared ten years ago, which makes me feel so depressingly old I think I need a bottle of Chardonnay and twenty Silk Cut.
