Yeah, I’m sure we’re gonna get a modern-day L’ Autre Monde out of this

This fall Canada’s Book Television gives audiences a “literary” version of The Bachelorette, for books:

A literary approach to reality TV, The Letters follows eight young men who position themselves as modern day Cyrano de Bergeracs — without the famous facial feature — in their quest to win the affection of one special young woman. Enjoy the renaissance of romantic prose in this vibrant new series where the pen is, once again, infinitely mightier than the sword.

Pity the viewer — for, sadly, this is not the first reality TV program centered on writers.
