The horror, the horror

In email, Walter Moore points me to the BBC’s report that, when members of Congress toured Guantanamo Bay recently, one detainee “was read a Harry Potter book aloud for hours until he turned his back and put his hands over his ears.” Says Walter:

I wasn’t angry about treatment of prisoners at Gitmo before now! OK, just kidding. I was angry.

The article seems to say things are moving in the right direction now, well, compared to before. Or the whitewash crew are doing their work well. Or something.
