Boyle interviewed for PBS’s Kinsey documentary

I haven’t seen Kinsey — I wanted to read T.C. Boyle’s The Inner Circle first — but Dana Stevens of Slate says a new Dr. Sex documentary, which airs on PBS tonight at 9 p.m.:

echoes the recent Kinsey biopic detail for detail, right down to an identical sequence of Ella Fitzgerald singing “Too Darn Hot” under a montage of breathless headlines about the 1948 release of the “Kinsey report.”. . . The documentary does go to a few darker places than the film, exploring such unsavory topics as Kinsey’s personal taste for masochistic self-cutting, which is only briefly glimpsed in the fiction film.

Boyle is among the PBS interviewees.
