  • The appointment of John Sutherland as chair to this year’s Man Booker award panel is causing quite a stir already – among the Man Booker’s own advisory committee, who have been quick to express dismay at the choice. “Appalling choice,” says one. (If they’re the advisory committee, then who….?)
  • The Australian wonders how like Borge’s Library of Babel is Google’s scheme to digitize scores of books.
