Now the corn dog costume, that’s another story.

This post was written by guest blogger Wendy McClure.

Yesterday MJ Rose asked authors to weigh in with their stories about what they’re not willing to do to promote their books and themselves:

Authors everywhere, regardless of whether we write for the masses or the few, whether we write romances, thrillers or esoteric meta fiction feel we have to stand up, put our hands on our hearts and say the pledge: “This is a business. I understand that. I embrace it. Yes, I too, can be a business person. I accept it as part of my job description.”

So here’s my question: What won’t you do to be a successful writer?

Despite what I may have implied elsewhere, I won’t dress up as a taco.
