Meghan Daum’s life as a wallpaper pattern

She’d hoped for a “Total Reputation Makeover,” but writer Meghan Daum (My Misspent Youth, The Quality of Life Report) settled for a website that “resembles an amalgam of the Sundance catalog, Real Simple, and an Anthropologie store.”

For the Village Voice, she writes about the “pre-adolescent” angst inspired by the design decisions she faced, and wonders whether the author website is a sign of the “growing need for artists to not only create their art but to advertise, market, and hand-sell it.”
