A fan of Alex Garland (okay, so that wasn’t exactly the word she used, but let’s protect her dignity) points me to this interview with the author about his forthcoming novel, The Coma. Illustrated with black-and-white woodcuts from Garland’s father, the new book suggests Garland’s early interest in comic books. His first novel, The Beach, began in graphic form.
