Tilda Swinton has signed on to play the White Witch in the screen adaptation of C.S. Lewis’ The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe.

As the Cinetrix says, “If they must muck about with … favorite childhood books, it’s heartening to hear when the casting is done right.”
