Tasini takes on Clinton

Democrat Jonathan Tasini, former president of the National Writers Union (see Tasini v. New York Times), explains why he’s running against New York Senator Hillary Clinton. He points to her continued support for the war, enthusiasm for NAFTA, and campaign contributions from Wal-Mart, and also raises free speech concerns:

[J]ust a few days after I announced my candidacy, the incumbent jumped on board with Pat Roberts, one of the most right-wing conservative members of the Senate, to co-sponsor an amendment that would criminalize flag-burning. This is a direct attack on the First Amendment.
