Slow season

The profile of Random House’s Peter Olson that appeared in Sunday’s New York Times Magazine continues to be discussed and, apparently, faxed from office to office.

The current edition of The Chicago Manual of Style is nearly 1000 pages long. “The chief innovation of the new edition has been to thread coverage of electronic publishing throughout the Manual, to address ‘all of the changes in the way people now work with words,’ says Anita Samen, the 15th edition’s chief manuscript editor.” (Via Arts & Letters Daily.)
