Q. [Russia is] one of the few countries where being a poet is a respectable profession.
GS: Yes, and where even the dumbest people write poetry. People you would never expect, people who kill for a living go home and write poetry about clouds. Itâ€™s almost some sort of Zen meditation.
PG: And theyâ€™ll read it to you, too.
GS: Oh, yes, after two shots of vodka.
