Shteyngart and Greenberg

From a joint interview with Gary Shteyngart and Paul Greenberg about Russia and the U.S.:

Q. [Russia is] one of the few countries where being a poet is a respectable profession.

GS: Yes, and where even the dumbest people write poetry. People you would never expect, people who kill for a living go home and write poetry about clouds. It’s almost some sort of Zen meditation.

PG: And they’ll read it to you, too.

GS: Oh, yes, after two shots of vodka.

There are also some photos of both authors.
