“She was ‘painted for war'”

Elvis Costello’s rip on U.S. airport security in place as of last August makes for an entertaining read:

….The supervisor informed me that to turn my back on the search of my bag was ‘against Federal regulations’. When I pointed out that there was not one sign posted to inform travellers of these ‘Federal Regulations’, she replied that that ‘Federal Regulations do not require that we tell you about Federal Regulations’. Joseph Heller died for someone’s sins but not for mine.

Virge forwards the following EC tidbit: “Elvis Costello guest stars on FRASIER next week.”
