On a childhood field trip to Hollywood Beach (in South Florida), the cool girls taught me to pick up clumps of seaweed and soak them in buckets.
When we pulled the seaweed away, there were tiny ocean creatures floating in the water.
Once I found two seahorses no larger than my fingernail.
Little did I know that they were probably life partners.(Thanks to Stephany for the photo link.)
Ang coincidentally points out that South Florida isn’t all seahorses and beach condos and unicorns and rainbows.
