Paging George Saunders

Disney dumps its “imagineered” experiment in new urbanism, the town of Celebration. Celebration sparked not one but two book-length accounts of life in the community. Celebration, U.S.A.: Living in Disney’s Brave New Town was written by Douglas Frantz and Catherine Collins, a couple of journalists who took their kids to live there for a year. And The Celebration Chronicles was written by Andrew Ross, the director of American studies at New York University.
