George Saunders’ Pastoralia is that unusual book that appeals to Mr. Maud and me equally.
Over the years it has sown mild discord in our household. As in: “Hey, isn’t it my turn to read that now?” “No, I’m pretty sure it’s mine.”
This morning I’m spreading the Saunders love by giving away a matched set of his Pastoralia, In Persuasion Nation, and Civilwarland in Bad Decline.
