Light news

At lunch I ran into Douglas Light, a writer who recently graduated from the CCNY writing program. Since I last saw him, Doug has learned that he won an O’Henry Award for his excellent short story “Three Days. A Month. More.,” published in Alaska Quarterly Review last fall. (Those of you who frequented the now-defunct Lambs to the Slaughter reading series may have heard him read this piece at KGB.)

He’s also taken a position as Managing Editor for ep;phany,* a new literary publication out of NYU. Submissions are accepted from October through April, so there’s plenty of time to get yours in.

*In case you’re wondering, this is not a typo. It appears that this word is spelled with a semicolon.
