Chicha wonders: “Has the Los Angeles Times Book Review gotten worse or has it always been this bad?”
Of the eleven reviews in the December 21 edition, she points out:
just one was devoted to a literary novel, and it was a novel by a celebrity author (Jimmy Carter). The first line of that review: “It’s best to forget that Jimmy Carter’s account of the American Revolution in Florida, the Carolinas and his native Georgia is supposed to be a novel.”
It’s best to forget this is supposed to be a Book Review.
