It’s 6 am now in California. I haven’t even had a cup of coffee yet, but I wanted to “log on” and make sure that everyone on the opposite coast had fresh content . That’s how committed I am to this project. I want you to ask yourself, would Elizabeth Spear at looker.com go that extra mile for you? I don’t think so.
I worked at several web companies before i came to Wired, so I like to think that I know a little something about delivering posts that are rich and impactful for audiences across all browsers and platforms. Multimedia is absolutely not a problem. I can add pictures if i want to–jpegs OR gifs. I can build a big animated Flash intro if that’s what we need to do to get more eyeballs and click-throughs.
I was blogging before you knew what “blog” meant. I invented one of the emoticons that you use every day. [I don’t remember how it’s spelled, it’s the one with the winky eye and the tongue]
Buckle up kids, because we’re going on a magic carpet ride.
