Eudora Welty audio

Scroll down a little on this page, and you can hear a youngish Eudora Welty reading three short stories: “Why I Live at the P.O.,” “Powerhouse,” and “A Worn Path.” Her accent is a toned-down version of my Delta* grandmother’s, although the pitch of her voice is much lower.

* From Minter City, to Greenwood, to Drew, but now she lives outside of Biloxi, on the coast.
