Children’s offerings

On Friday Stephany mentioned several celebrities who are writing children’s books. Time Out New York‘s Howard Halle recalls Daddy Day, Daughter Day, by Larry King, published in 1997. Halle describes King’s book this way:

Courtesy of 60 MinutesPlot: Divorced dad takes daughter to Florida’s Monkey Jungle, where she has a traumatic run-in with a gorilla.

Target Audience: Children of Divorce

Actual Audience: Divorced fathers who feel guilty and don’t want to.

Moral: It’s great having Larry King as your dad — even if he has been married five times.

In other news, three children wrote and published a book about their pet donkey.
