BookAngst returns, to identify author’s book

The year before last, an anonymous editor, “tired of being frustrated & depressed about the business of publishing,” launched BookAngst 101 to “provide a constructive forum for venting.” Venting did happen there, until the site went dark.
But the BookAngst proprietor also talked about his job. He once wrote about a misunderstanding that surfaced during the editing of a novel, and, according to BookAngst, ultimately spurred the author to “turn[] a brilliant book into a masterpiece.”
Now the editor has resurfaced to identify the book — and, by extension, himself.
The author, Sara Gran, has a website.
