Greene dream diary

The Daily Telegraph (not online) recently noted that Graham Greene’s dream diary has been serialized on BBC Radio. According to the Telegraph:
In one dream, Greene is offered the job of ambassador to Scotland by Edward Heath. “As a mark of friendship, we went swimming together in a muddy river,” Greene noted, “and to show my keenness for my job I suggested we should hold a World Textile Fair in Scotland.”
And according to an old Guardian article:
In Greene’s most entertaining dream, Queen Elizabeth II confides of her husband: “I can’t bear the way he smiles.”
The BBC radio clip doesn’t seem to be available online, but you can read Greene’s dreams for yourself if you can track down a copy of A World of My Own, which is out of print.
On the topic of writers and dreams, a friend recently recommended Writers Dreaming: 26 Writers Talk About Their Dreams and the Creative Process, which includes essays from John Barth, Maurice Sendak, Isabel Allende, William Styron, Maya Angelou, Sue Grafton, Anne Rice, Stephen King, and more, but I haven’t picked it up yet.
