Tina has landed.

April 26, 2004 | Comments Off

The NY Post reports that Tina Brown has signed a book deal with Random House. The book, titled The Icarus Complex, is “about overachieving — the arc of rising and falling in American life that was accelerated by the tremendous accumulation of wealth in the 1990s,” Brown is quoted as saying. (Didn’t David Denby already cover this ground?)

I’ll always be grateful to Tina Brown for bringing Anthony Lane to this side of the ocean. On the other hand, I find it impossible to contemplate Icarus Complex without anticipating Wonkette’s future Cliff Notes. “Mmm. Rising and falling.” (Link via Gawker.)
